PROJECT PLANNING AND SUPPORT

Entrepreneurs running innovation based enterprises need management inputs and detailed planning to run it smoothly. The GIAN team provides or arranges specialized inputs for these entrepreneurs. IIMA, NIM, IIFM, IRMA are some of the institutions working with GIAN to fulfill these requirements.

TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

Technology transfers helps the innovators concentrate only on innovations and get rewarded for the same rather than trying to set up an enterprise. Three agreements for technology transfers of the tilting cart technology have been signed and executed. Negotiations are on for technology transfers for other products also.

COMMERCIAL LAUNCH

Setting up production units and ensuring their smooth operation at commercial scale is the most crucial link in defining the success of the innovation. GIAN has successfully launched three grassroots innovation based enterprises commercially.    

AARUNI TILTING BULLOCK CART

The non-hydraulic tilting cart, designed and manufactured by Amrutbhai, is one of the first grassroots innovations to have completed the innovation to enterprise journey. GIAN ensured IPR protection of the innovator by filing patent for the tilting mechanism and arranged subsidy through GEDA to kick start the commercialization process.

Technology transfer for five districts have yielded a lakh of rupees to the innovator. The tilting cart turnover touched Rupees Ten lakhs in 1992-2000.

The commercial production of the cart is being done at four centers by entrepreneurs. The customer can also avail bank loan on the cart as the refinance is available on the cart from NABARD.
