Gain's major aim is to scale up and spawn grassroots level innovations and help development of successful enterprises. In this effort, it provides the innovations with adequate linkages to modern science and technology and market research institutes. In order to effect the diffusion of these grassroots level innovations ,GIAN seeks to mobilize commercial channels as well as non-commercial public, private and voluntary organizations. The ultimate objective is to generate new models of poverty alleviation, rural development, employment generation and conservation of natural resources without impairing the ecological balance.
